Courtney James – PT, DPT

Courtney James earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Scranton in 2019. Since graduating she has been working in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Courtney has a special interest in women’s health and received her pelvic floor level I certification from Herman and Wallace. She is a strong believer in treating the whole person with emphasis on hands-on manual techniques combined with therapeutic exercise.

During her graduate degree, she taught anatomy structure and function lab at her university where she learned how to incorporate different teaching styles best suited to the learner. Further graduate work included a special interest in pediatrics where she underwent an intensive pediatric clinical experience as well as presented and published research under the title of The effect of transcranial direct current stimulation on balance and mobility in children with cerebral palsy: A systematic review.
